ATA recently completed work on the creation of a Centre for Sexual Violence Support and Education at York University. This interior renovation occurred on the existing third floor of the York Lanes building, and the space was redesigned to emphasize feelings of home and comfort through the integration of materials and finishes that suggest warmth, while clearly separating the staff office space. The result is a subtle but clear difference between the home and office environments.

Throughout the process of working on this centre, ATA was sensitive to the needs of the University, and it’s very specific design requirements. The hope is that this centre becomes the prototype for other similar services at other universities throughout Canada.
