Urban Planning

This two-storey, 7,836-square-foot building was designed – in consultation with the City of Burlington’s planning staff – to achieve the municipality’s urban design goals. Located on the northeast corner of Prospect Street and Brant Street, ATA set the building back from the road while creating an interface of solid and void for visual interest. The second floor extends outward, creating a canopy effect over a portion of the ground floor facades. To visually address and define the corner, a portion of the glass tower feature touches the daylight triangle. The remainder of the corner section then steps back and recedes on an angle, exposing additional glass to the corner.
